regardless of how many vertecies are optimised by the addon, so long as the modifiers aren't applied all your details will remain in the mesh and will show up once the range for the subdivision reaches or is set to its distance

Unlike the inbuilt adaptive subdivision surface that only shows during render, this adaptive subdivision is viewd in the viewport and so therefore can be used to optimise the inbuilt adaptive subdivision surfaceas well.

this add-on offers the ability to tailor the subdivision surface to not only the camera, but also a secondary object, this automatically allows you to create high and low poly areas when creating a game scene for exportation without having to go through the tedious proces of reducing polygons

this addon comes with a percentage bar that enables you to see the immediate effect of the reduction of verticies from your mesh object

this addon gives you the option to use different types of falloffs to determine how far you want your adaptive subdivision to go.

with this addon you can adjust how far you want your subdivision to affect the mesh in relation the meshes size, allowing you to affect multiple meshes at different distances and enabling you to optimize your scene perfectly particularly when dealing with hard and soft shaped objects.
